Article 1 – Applicability
These general terms and conditions apply to every ride, booking and quotation from TAS Taxi (hereinafter: “TAS”, “we” or “us”), regardless of whether it is arranged via the website, by phone, by email or otherwise. By booking a ride, you agree to these terms and conditions.
Article 2 – Formation of the booking
A booking becomes final as soon as you have confirmed it via the website or by phone, and (if applicable) payment has been completed. After confirmation you will receive a confirmation of the ride with the agreed pickup location, destination, date and time.
Article 3 – Rates and payment
Our rates are stated in advance on the website or in the quotation. Rates are based on the shortest/fastest route and the specified pickup location and destination. Any deviations (such as detours at the customer’s request, extra stops, or waiting time) may result in an adjusted final amount. Payment is made via the website (iDEAL or credit card) or in cash/by card to the driver, unless otherwise agreed.
Article 4 – Cancellation and no-show
- Cancellation is free of charge up to 2 hours before the agreed pickup time.
- In case of cancellation within 2 hours of the pickup time, 50% of the ride price may be charged.
- In the event of a “no-show” (the customer is not present at the agreed location and does not respond within 15 minutes of the driver’s arrival), the full ride price may be charged.
Article 5 – Waiting time
At pickup points (such as home addresses), the first 5 minutes of waiting time are free of charge; at airports a longer free waiting time applies due to baggage handling. After that, waiting time may be charged at the applicable waiting rate. This is stated in advance on the website or in the quotation.
Article 6 – Luggage and number of passengers
The number of passengers and the amount of luggage may not exceed the maximum of the booked vehicle. If in doubt, we recommend contacting us in advance so that we can arrange a suitable vehicle.
Article 7 – Conduct and responsibility
Passengers must follow the driver’s instructions during the ride. Damage to the vehicle caused by the passenger (for example through contamination, smoking in the vehicle, or wilful damage) may be charged to the passenger. Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle.
Article 8 – Liability
TAS makes every effort to carry out rides safely and on time. However, delays due to traffic, weather conditions or force majeure cannot always be avoided; TAS is not liable for damage resulting from such delay, unless there is intent or gross negligence. TAS is not liable for the loss of or damage to belongings left in the vehicle by the passenger.
Article 9 – Complaints
Do you have a complaint about a ride? Please contact us as soon as possible, and no later than 14 days after the ride, via the contact details on our website. We take your complaint seriously and aim to respond within 5 working days.
Article 10 – Amendments
TAS reserves the right to amend these general terms and conditions. The most current version can always be found on this page.
Article 11 – Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these terms and conditions and all agreements with TAS. Disputes are preferably resolved by mutual consultation.
